League leaders now set sights on ‘dangerous’ Chelsea player, he’s part of Blues future

Bayern Munich, along with rivals Borussia Dortmund, have reportedly joined the race for Chelsea player Armando Broja.

The Sun claims German Bundesliga leaders Bayern have set their sights on the 20-year-old that’s performing so well out on loan with Southampton this season. Dortmund are now monitoring the youngster’s progress, too.

It is understood that Chelsea consider the loanee to be part of their future, despite the fact Southampton would love to take him back to St Mary’s again next season.

In addition, Arsenal have been linked with a potential move in the summer to try sign the centre-forward.

Broja, described as “dangerous” by Glenn Hoddle, is having a brilliant breakout season away from Stamford Bridge.

The 6ft 3in striker is a product of Chelsea’s glittering academy at Cobham who is following in the footsteps of many top talents.

He’s scored eight goals in 24 appearances so far this season for Premier League rivals Southampton, but his overall play has been equally impressive with the way he’s adapted to English top-flight football.

Sirens should be ringing for Chelsea

This is yet another glaring message to show Chelsea’s hierarchy they need to integrate Broja into their squad next season.

It’s quite the statement that German powerhouses Bayern and Dortmund are both checking on his development.

He’s a ready-made product that can slot into Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea squad, and it would be great to have an out-and-out striker compete with Romelu Lukaku for the number nine position next year.

The Bundesliga is a great division for emerging talents to develop. However, there is now a great path at the Bridge for the academy success stories to come into the senior group.
